Hi All,

I am new to all this and I have a old Canon UC2000 8mm Video Camcorder. Would one of these Easycap capture cards allow me to transfer the old analogue 8mm Videos from my camcorder to the hard drive of my laptop? Also what software would I need to convert it ready for burning onto DVDs?
Thanks for any help.
Best Wishes.  Grin

Hi

What ouptut connections does the camcorder have? if you can see VIDEO OUT then you should be able to connect it to the easycap with the correct cable.

You get software with the easycap call Ulead which captures the footage and can then be converted to dvd.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.

Yes, it has two outlet sockets a video (yellow) socket and an audio (white) socket.

Is the software that is supplied with it all I need to convert from Anologue to DVd format ready for burning?  Is it a full version or will it only work for a trial period?
Best Wishes and Thanks
