Ezcap 116 - cannot preview sound

H there,
I have the Ezcap 116 (newest usb capture device from the manufacturer) - I have installed the drivers from here:

I am connectioning a video camera to usb device.

Video is fine - but I am having issue with the sound

I can record sound (and see sound level indicators bars) - but I cannot preview sound through the speakers/headphones. The sound device appears at EMP USB Audio device which is correct I believe. Here is a link to the the chipset maufacturer:

Can anyone with these devices actually preview sound through speakers or headphone?

I have tried this on both XP and Vista - same problem.

I have seen on the maufactures website previewing issues - i have tried reinstalling usb device with/without it plugged in - but no luck - see no preview.

There has been a lot of problems with Preview audio in earlier versions where is Ulead Video Studio - it doesn't work in most of Vista computers but audio works with playback. But You have Arcsoft Showbitz and I haven't heard that there would be problems with that if You have taken in use that USB EMP Audio Device.

Here is my best setting tutorial for Arcsoft Showbitz:

There can be conflict against Your webcam if it has integrated microphone - try to take it off from USB port.

You must try also free VirtualDub - it has worked fine both 32bit and 64bit Vista.

I have just purchased Ezcap 116 with ShowBiz software.

I cannot get decent sound in and with whatever settings I use it sounds like it isn't being sampled correctly. I am using a new HP high spec machine ( i7 750 quad processor with loads of DDR3 Ram)

I also tried it on my Vista laptop which gets both video and audio OK but won't playback Audio.

Any ideas or do I just send it back for a refund???
