Author Topic: Easycap 002 Drivers conflict? no image, only black screen  (Read 13603 times)

Dears Sirs,
I have installed this product shipped by Dealextreme, installed drivers and software multiviewer from cd,
After start Multiviewer don’t recognize installed camera,a Wireless 1.2GHz RF 30-IR Night-Vision Weatherproof Security Surveillance Camera w/AV Receiver (NTSC), only black screen is viewed,
Another camera is a wired 30 IR night vision and same, don’t be detected by multiviewer!
I download latest driver from Easycap homepage but software provided, Easyviewer is a error message, like key invalid I reinstall from provided cd.
It’s a driver conflict? Because i plug this câmera direct in TV and operate normal! Only in software don’t works?
I installed and reinstalled a many times and same , don signal cameras and black screen!
My system is a windows XP SP 3 , Phenom 9850 processor and Gforce 8600 GT
What happens?
From Brazil!

P.S. Drivers in cd and downloaded from Easycap site are stk1150 not stk1160 driver, like the hardware, is it the problem??

Do You have 64bit WinXP? EasyCap002 works only in 32bit Windows OS.

EzCAP002's Easyviewer software doesn't work with EasyCap002 - I have also tried that.

Test Your Easycap also with normal DVD player with normal RCA cable - there is behind
DVD player that yellow RCA video connector.

But with EasyCap002 that I have bought has been always STK1160 driver - download that
driver from my server:

My OS is Windows XP pro SP3 32 bit, maybe a drive conflict! in driver provided in cd is stk1150 and hardware appear stk1160.
I will download drive from your link.

Drivers from your link is installed, same drivers who i have install! archives in drive listed are Stk1150
Problem remain! no image, and dont have cameras signal in multiviewer software!
cameras works fine when conected in a TV device, problem in drivers and software!

Easycapexpertii,
Easycap support return my email with this response:

    "If the software came with the device you got is multiviewer2.0, that
mean it's not made by us, we use Easyviewer 3.0 (the divice is different,
even they look same). You can not use easyviewer 3.0 for the device you have.
 
    For your problem, I guess you can try this multiviewer1.0 enclosed if you have
the muitiviewer 2.0 doesn't work.
 
    For the driver shows, stk1150 or 1160 doesn't matter. If you can see
"stk1150" in the device manager\image device. It should work.

They include a software who solve my problem and works fine !!!!! its multiviewer 1.0 !

Not true :-) EzCAP002's EasyViewer 3.0.0.1 works well with EzCap002.

The only problem I found was that the C:\WINDOWS\Stk1150.exe application that is also installed is triggered to take snapshots at 1 second intervals, and the only way I could turn it off was to remove it from the C:\WINDOWS folder and restart EasyViewer. This does not prevent EasyViewer from taking snapshots and storing them in the folder of choice.

Another minor problem is that it is impossible to change the folder where video clips are stored.

There is another model EzCAP3104 http://www.szforwardvideo.com/product/Pro_29_6.html that has more features, permitting MPEG-4 compression and remote monitoring over the WWW.

I'm having same problem. The camera works fine when connected to TV. I've also tried connecting a VHS player to Easycap002, but only getting "no signal" on all channels w/multiviewer. All help appreciated.

You have mixed 2 different products - EasyCap002 and EzCAP002. Easycap002 works only with its own software MultiViewer and EzCAP002 works only with its own software EasyViewer. These both products are made in the same genuine EasyCap/EzCAP factory, but they have modified the drivers to use only these specific softwares.
