just loaded up easy cap on my sony vaio laptop

which has windows vista loaded on it,

with the intent of capping VHS tapes home videos etc.

however the video driver installed fine but the audio driver, vista keeps automatically loading its driver up as "generic USB audio", and it reads that it is there, but vista cant communicate with it properly so so it doesnt read an audio sigal at all, so i have picture but no sound.

tried uninstalling software and drivers , changing usb slots, using different cables, and restarting between change of drivers. and no luck.

if anyone could help me it would be much appreciated!

thank you

The makers of EasyCap apparently have drivers and a video capture program (dated May 17th 2008) for download on their website, prehaps it may be worth a go?

Here's a direct link.

Make sure to follow their instructions to the letter!
