Hi, first visit! Sorry if this question has been asked before.  Have transferred from analogue camcorder to computer - can put editing features in and can play them back on pc screen - can also play back these on my t.v.!  Success - me thinks not - my actual film does not appear!  I have tried saving as windows media video files, mpeg and avi files without success.  Have also tried to play through Quicktime and Realplayer without success.  Q.Time doesn't understand the file and Realplayer says it will look for software which it can't find! Exasperated and tired out - any advice appreciated! Thanks.

What software are you using to capture, edit and export with?

Hi, thanks for your response - sorry I am a little late in reply - life hassle.  I was using ULead Video Studio 8. Have had Broadband probs and have had to restore my computer to an earlier time!  In the end, I used Windows Movie Maker with complete success without altering any settings!   I would still like to know why I couldn't view the complete video clip so if knowing the software helps you give me an answer, it would be very much appreciated - shame to waste the software!  Thanks again, Dabble.

I got Ulead Video Studio 10 bundled with my EasyCap and can't get it to work at all! When I tried to use Windows Movie Maker it totaly maxed out my CPU, Got the same thing with Nero aswell!

I'm glad you're up and running, but knowing why it wasn't working before is anyone's guess!

Sorry to read that - it's all a hassle isn't it - the pleasure of video-editing is gone before you start!  We were apprehensive at even starting converting but that actual part went well (surprisingly!). The only thing I can suggest from what you say is do check you have all else installed - at the outset of installation of Easycap - I went through my drivers and shockwave etc before I started to connect USB Easycap. I still don't know why I couldn't view the whole video through Video Studio but have to say Windows Movie Maker came up trumps. I now have a further problem with that in trying to use the timebar! - placing of sound files - it goes all scrunched up and is difficult to see how to edit after that! - Oh for the good old days with leads galore all over the floor! - but it did work without all this hassle!  Good Luck with your movie making!
