I would suggest setting your Xbox 360 to PAL 60 and trying all the available NTSC settings on EasyCap, also try setting the frame rate to 30fps.

Also I read on the Microsoft website that the lead that comes with the xbox is not compatible with PAL 50.

I use easycap with ulead video studio 10 SE software. The settings I use for colour on xbox in uk are NTSC_433 works great . Smiley On ulead click File,Preferences,Capture,Tick allow access to device settings. It also works in windows movie player.

Colinkx250, what version of the EasyCAP do you have ? I'm trying to get a freinds EasyCAP108 / DC60+ working in colour and it doesn't have the option for NTSC_433.

So is it just that the EasyCAP device I have doesn't support that one ?

It would seem that the device I have would be a newer version so I'd of thought it would have the same capabilites as possibly older ones.

Thanks in advance,

Myles.

Hi L3373rthanuu,

Unfortunately, yes, after testing and testing and even more testing, I have come to the conclusion that most (if not almost all) USB capture devices do NOT have NTSC 4.33 setting which is needed. EZ Fan has alot of info about this as well, and you can read about my trials and efforts in thread

http://forum.easycap.co.uk/index.php?topic=43.0

and

http://forum.easycap.co.uk/index.php?topic=42.0

You will need an easycap which supports the NTSC4.33 to record in 60hz...I have no idea why most devices don't actually have this option, however at the moment, it's the only way. I am currently buying an Easycap 108 DC60+, which is touted to have the NTSC 4.33 setting in it... I certainly hope so.

You will need either a

OR a

Both of these are DC60+ - and should be usable -

It's tough, but after investigation this is what I've come up with.

Hope it helps!
