every time i capture on AVI the files is always far too big, 1 minute is over 1GB. and the other formats (mpeg, WMV) the picture and sound quality are either bad and don't fit together. i would like to know how i can get a decent quality video with a decent size file (3 hour video, 3GB maybe..?)
HELP?!?!?!

My understanding is that the file type is correct but software is required to compress the file ?

Go to Options, then Video and audio capture property settings. Select capture then tick use software compression. Click advanced then select a compressed format maybe xvid. This will reduce the size to around 1-2gb per hour.
