I've been trying one of these adaptors and using the supplied Ulead software.

I have plugged in the output my VCR (VHS) and I can get it to work OK but I get intermittent streaks across the video capture window. I've tried two different video recorders and the same happens so it looks like something the adaptor is introducing. Any clues to what may be causing this? Thanks.

Forgot to mention that I am using the composite video input.

Hello Admin,

I have tried a couple of different composite video cables. Not sure how to get a screen shot of the problem. I will have a go. Might also try it on my laptop see if the same happens.

Forgot to say that I am using WinXP Pro SP3.

Hi

It does sounds like interference of some sort rather than the adapter, to make a screenshot just click capture image like on the pic below

Oops ... yes I see. I will do it next time I have the equipment set up. I did say it looks like interference but I have never had a problem with USB hardware in the past or any other at the present time.

Good news. I tried a different USB socket and the problem has disappeared. Nice little device.
