Hi,

I have a problem I didn't previously have... I could capture film but my sound was distorted. Then I looked up - or rather my PC found a driver or whatever to help fix this problem. After this though, and I'm not sure if it is related, but I can't capture from my camera anymore... I get "Cannot start the capture graph"

Can anyone help?

Cheers,
Harry

I had a similar problem when I was using some video capture software for the first time with EasyCap, I got two error messages one for Audio Graph and one for Video Graph. It turned out that all it meant was that I had to enable the audio and video capture devices manualy by clicking on them in a menu so that they had a little tick next to them!

Thanks for your reply EZ Fan. Could you tell me where to find these boxes to tick?  Grin

It all depends what software you are using for video capture!  Wink I was using AMCap, which is a free download from the makers of EasyCap, what are you using?

I am using the package that came with the device. Ulead.
I've yet to resolve my problems witht he device ans for that matter many other issues when it comes to capturing footage onto PC.

I haven't used any other editing programmes before but as far as I can tell Ulead is better than Windows Movie Maker. I'd like software that allowed me to have more control over the sound. For instance, can I still use the sound from film A if film B is showing...??

I ramble and I am sorry, but it is all so confusing. I know what I wanna do, I can see it in my head, but it's so hard to work out where to start and what I need and what does what and does it work with Vista!

Harry

Lots of people are having problems using Ulead Video Studio with Easycap on both Windows XP and vista. I was trying to use UVS 10 (which came bundled with my Easycap) and could not capture at all with it on Win XP SP3. Video capture and editing can be quite daunting when you first get into it, I'm still relatively new to it all myself!

There is some free software called SUPER that will let you rip the sound from any video file, you could then mute the sound from movie A, rip the sound from movie B and then import it into the project! If you continue to have problems with Ulead Video Studio don't give up with EasyCap, there is lots of free video capture/editing software out there that might work with it on your system. Click here to see some.

What exactly are you wanting to capture? What do you want to do with it after? If you tell me precisley what you want to do I will try my best to assist you if I can.
