Got sound but no picture

Just bought an EasyCap to transfer my videos to dvd via my PC thinking it would be easy!

I have connected the leads -  I think to the right places but have sound and no picture! The scart lead is plugged into the video player and the yellow, white and red leads connected too. The only lead not connected is the S video but I have no where on the video player to connect it to! The scart lead has an in and out switch. I've tried both ways but nothing.
Can anyone help?

Did you 2 buy from the same source? 

This is very unusual. Normally you get no sound and no video. But you are getting sound?

Whatever program it came with, make sure you have the settings right. PAL for UK and NTSCC for USA. If you have this set right and you have the scart adaptor set to "out" and you still have no picture, you have a dud unit.
