Why halo thar....

I got my EasyCap today looking at the wonderful possibilites...
Now I wish I never bought the damn thing.

I put in my CD, clicked instal drivers and everything went well. Then I restarted my computer after I was prompted to do so. After I installed all the other programs with it, I went in Ulead and clicked Record and it said "No hardware found".

So I went in "Devices" in the My Computer properties and it said the drivers werent installed.

I unplugged and replugged my easycap in and a window popped up saying "New Device Found". So I went through the proccess trying to insall the drivers using the window that popped up, and it says "Drivers not found".

Hi MicroNik! Welcome to the wonderful crazy world of Easycap! Seriously, it seems a lot of folk have tried to install the device and fallen at the drivers hurdle - my installation disc didn't seem to have drivers on it?

Are you using Vindows 7 / Vista? If so, some easycaps won't work for you - others on here more knowledgable than me can advise there. If you are using XP, I have eventually managed to find drivers for the DC60 and DC60+ which seem to work. The DC60+ driver is (I recall) quite easy to trace via this site. The DC60 driver is the one that sorted me out, but I'm b8gger#d if I can remember where I found it! Anyhow, if it would help, let me know via email (stjon at warmmail dot co dot uk and I will try to assist.

I got some problems with original drivers but I downloaded a driver from the internet and everything is working perfectly now.
