Are you using the DC60 or the DC60+?

Here are drivers for the DC60.

Hi Tombofry. Unfortunately the site says the uploads are temporarily unavailable for the DC60. Can I get them anywhere else?

Hi.

Thanx for your help.

Just one more question. Do I have to have Easycap installed before downloading the drivers or can I download them to my comp ready for when I do install the software?

As far as I am aware, they can be installed beforehand.

Download the drivers and unzip. Open up and click on the .exe file.
Reboot the PC

Hi bigwheel

Well I've downloaded the driver, unzipped it, opened it up but can't find an .exe file. I've tried doing a search for the driver while in Device Manager but it says it can't find it on the computer, even though I click on the correct path?

Any other ideas please otherwise I may have to send it back.

Cheers

OK, I just downloaded it to see whats what.

When you unzip and open up the folder there is only one thing in there. It states "setup"
It is actually setup.exe but it might not show that)

Double click on "setup" and follow the instructions. Once installed, reboot the pc.

Hi Bigwheel

I'm gonna give it up as a bad joke and send the thing back. I opened the file, clicked on Setup and it tells me that it installed successfully, then when I try to use the programme it tells me the USB 2.0 Capture Drive is not installed? The other two drivers are but not this one.

Any other suggestions before I slit my wrists?

heheh, I feel your pain  Smiley

Don't give up just yet. What version of windows are you on?

Plug the "easycrap" in. Go into device manager and tell me what you see?

You shoud have 2:
USB Audio Device
syntek stk1160 (or stk1150)

Are they there? Do any of them have a yell0w warning triangle?

All it says is;- USB 2.0 Video Capture Controller and yes, there is a yellow triangle.

If I double click on it, under Device Status in the General tab it says:- The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28). There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.

Any help?

P.S. I'm sharpening the knife as I type!

OK, I beleive you are on windows 7 Is this correct?  Wink

If so is it 34 or 64 bit version?
I have just watched a youtube video of getting a DC60 working on windows 7.

You need to download a modified set of drivers. (I downloaded the 32bit ones and all is fine. No trojans etc)

32 bit drivers:
http://c5d12ce3.linkbucks.com/

64 bit drivers
http://bae59641.linkbucks.com/

Download and extract. Now follow the video closely.

Is the drivers you got folder name STK1160Drivers, i got theese and when i clicked setup nothing worked, however when i plugged my easycap in and my laptop wanted me to insert the disc, instead i clicked I dont have the disc... THen it gives you an option to browse for the drivers, there is a file in that folder called Stk1150, i told my laptop to use that and wala my easycap is now recording!

If you dont have this file just give me a PM and i shall send it to you.

Hi Bigwheel

I've got the 64bit version but when I click on the link you gave me it comes up as an .rar file, which then means I've got to go to other sites and purchase their programmes to be able to open it! Did you have to do this also? It's all getting a bit complicated and I'm fairly green when it comes to computers.

Hi Aaron

Tried you suggestion but when I plug in the Easycap to my laptop, nothing happens! I get no messages or any recognition that the device has been connected.

I have a program that opens them. Not to worry, i have downloaded, opened it and made it into a zip file.

I Have uploaded to the link below. Click on it to download
http://www.ezcap.tv/Win7_64-bit.zip

Once you have downloaded and unzipped, watch the video again and follow the instructions.
