I just want to view a composite video signal in a window on my computer. I'm now using an old logitech webcam that has a composite input. But it will only show about a 300x300 version of the video - which is a 2x2 of 4 cameras so it's hard to see anything. I'm looking for a better (say 640x480) solution.

I found this device listed at amazon for under $10 US.

(I'm in the us so my signal is ntsc).

The picture shows a cd with easycap software included. And I am still using win2000 (but can dual boot to xp pro).

Will this do it for me?

It is this one?

It should do. It says its compatible with Win2000

However, as you can see from this forum, easycaps are a bit of a lottery. Some work and some don't. I would say it is worth trying. As you are purchasing from amazon, you can easily send it back if it doesn't.
