I have EZCAP USB 2.0 Video Capture hooked up to my Win7 PC.
I attached a security camera to the EZCAP and get a real decent real time video on my PC.

However, when I hit the "Record" button I get the following message.

No video signal detected.  Please check the source video.

I am not really sure why I am getting this message and can not record.
It seems if I can "see" the video from the camera then I have a video signal.

I am using the yellow composite cable.

Please help

I take it you are using arcsoft?
I have never come across this, but I have never tried with a security camera.

2 tests I would do:

If you can, plug in a dvd player to the unit and see if it lets you record.

Try different software:

Debut (free and good)
http://www.nchsoftware.com/capture/

When you go to the site, don't click on the links on the right hand side.
There is a download link for non commercial customers in the first paragraph
on the page.

Reboot the pc
Plug in EzCAP
Open Debut
Click on "device" at the top.

This seemed to work pretty good.  I installed sw and I no longer receive the error message.
Is there some sort of bug in the EZCap cd?

I don't think it is a bug. It may be because EzCAP have a dedicated cctv USB 2.0 product (up to 4 cameras) with different accompanying software.
