Hello.

I'm using: STK1150 under polish version Windows XP Home SP2 and I pluged my Amiga 1200
with STK1150 USB device. I'm usign this method to do not busy my parents TV in other room.
I'm uying composite cable. One week ago when I last time played everything was ok, I haved
picture and sound. But now when I run Ulead VideoStudio SE DVD which was included wuth my
USB device and select Capture I got picture but no normal sound (even very silent sound), it is
a total noise hard to hear it. No matter what I choose in capture options as "audio device": USB
Device or my sound card Realtek AC97 Audio. When "Preview audio with usb device" is checked
I hear the noises. And even when I'm unplug red and white witres from USB Device - I'm still
hear the noice. So i must uncheck "Preview audio with usb device". Only impotrent thing which
I do in this one week - was reinstall on my soundcard drivers but I'm istalled the same drivers,
which I have before. It was version 4.06 of AC 97 drivers from wdm_a406.exe file. Please tell
me what I can do to get sound back (even very silent as before)? My Amiga sound outputs are
not damaged. The sound was before on the same Ulead settings. And sorry for my bad english.

P.S. I have choosed AVI format, like bofore, but no matter which I select is still the noise and
when I tried to capture short video during game - the output file wa withour any sound too ;/

EDIT: I reinstalled drivers from EasyCap and Ulead software, but it does not help - still noises.

If it worked before and now is doesn't, it is definitley a conflict with your sound card driver which you just re-installed.

There is a quick fix for this. Bypass the USB Audio altogether.

I know you are in Poland, just do a search for the same product.

Thank you for answer. I have sound muted before in avi player so I'm enabled sound
and try to record sound from EasyCap. Only noise was recorded. Maybe my EasyCap
damaged in some way, but there is no problems with Picture - only with sound. And
soundcard drivers are the same like before reinstaling. I'm also reinstalled driver for
my EasyCap and Windows XP detect STK1160 (not 1150) beacuse I loose manual so
I do not remember what was thje other way to install drivers I just removed a device
STK1150 from device manager and pluged EasyCap again, adding device creator ask
me about patch to drivers I selected EasyCap drivers from CD and device is installed
again and ready to use. Ulead show picture again, but with noise sound. So maybe
only way is bought item like you suggested me. Because I made tests and select a
microphone and my sound card as source of sound and enabled sound preview. In
this case I hear my voice when speaking to microhphone, also in recorded movie,
So if you can confirm is item from followin link will be ok. Like I see probable yes.

EDIT: I bought the item from link above but when plugged into my microphone or even linein socket
the sound is in mono (only 2 Amiga sound channels from 4 playing) but I solve problem with sound.
I tested on father laptop where He have old drivers from AC 97 card. And that was solution. So to
have sounds from EasyCap USB Device, in AC 97 Card drivers must be installed from wdm_a395.exe
file. It can be found on following site http://www.idg.pl/ftp/pobierz/pc/12718.html (click on "Pobierz"
it means "Download"). It is stupid, but old version 3.95 of drivers is much better han newer one and I
was sure my previous drivers was in the 4.06 version. Like I see now I was wrong, had 3.95 version.
