If you are converting vhs to dvd or are recording what's on the TV, it will capture in colour fine.

It is only if you are using for gaming that the problems begin. Older 50hz games will be fine and you will have colour. Newer 60hz games (Modern warfare 2 etc) and it will only display and capture in black and white.

Get yourself an EzCAP116 and you will be fine. Compatible with Windows 7. Also comes with a snapshot button for taking stills.
