Camcorder to computer via EasyCap003/006

Hi all,
I recently received a Sony DCR-HC28 mini-DV camcorder, and I'd like to learn how to transfer media from the camcorder to my computer.
My computer runs on Windows XP SP3.
Apart from the A/V cable that came with the camcorder, I have an EasyCap 003/006 set, but I'm not sure how to use it.
Can someone please instruct me as to what I should do in order to transfer my videos without damaging either the camcorder or the computer.
Your assistance is much appreciated.
Regards,
Ido

I take it you have installed all the drivers and software that came on the cd with your easycap? If not you need to do this first.
Once everything is installed, connect the AV lead from your camera to the easycap. Power up the camera. Insert your easycap to your pc.
Now open Ulead program that was installed from your cd. Select: "video Studio editor". When the next sreen show, select "capture" from the top.
In the middle of the screen you will now see a small camcorder icon "Capture video". Click this then click OK to the little box that pops up
You should now see it connected to your camcorder.
