Hey,

I have had my Ezcap 116 for some time now and I'd like to start using it again after a while. However, when I plug it into my computer, nothing happens, no matter if I have drivers installed or not. I have tried with two OS'es I have installed on my computer, XP 32-bit and 7 64-bit, but both have the same problem.

The device has worked, but it has done the same thing before. Now I just can't get it working at all, even in different USB plugs, which worked once. Any ideas?

Sounds to me like you have a faulty one.

When you have the drivers installed, plug it in and then go the "device manager". Under "sound, video and game controllers" you should see:
USB 2861 device

If you do not then the pc does not recognise you are physically plugging something into the port. If it is doing this on 2 different pc's it is the EzCAP

Contact the vendor you purchased from as it comes with a 12 month guarantee and should replace it.

Nope, I do not see anything in my device manager. It is strange, because the last time I used the device, it worked like it should. I have had problems like this in the past though, but after some re-plugging and/or re-installing drivers and rebooting the computer, my ezcap has started working, but not this time...

I have to talk with the guy who sold me this easy"crap".

Seems like this device is broken indeed, I am now sent a new ezcap. At least the customer service works for this product Wink

It is rare for an EzCAP to malfunction. They are normally bullet proof little things but as you say, you will receive good customer service if something does go wrong.
