Hi, i bought an easycap168 and i'm having problems with getting it to work with my Xbox360.

Things i have tried so far + the results:

Set my xbox to 50hz.

Plugging the console straight into my easycap with the yellow, red and white cable.
 - didn't work with vegas, ulead, AMCap and half worked with VIDCAP (Sound recorded, picture was partly there but very unclear and in black and white and program kept 'Not responding')

Plugging the console straight into my easy cap with the green, red and white cables
 - Same as above.

I am using windows 7 with the STK1160 Driver as seen in a few of the threads i've read.

I'd appreciate any help at all, thanks alot!

What software came with this?

Can you show us a link where you purchased from?

It was from ebay, similar to this one:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/EasyCAP-USB-2-0-Video-and-Audio-Capture-Device-/280537792479?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Computing_Computer_Components_Graphics_Video_TV_Cards_TW&hash=item41515affdf

It came with an old version ulead video studio which has problems working with windows 7 so i got additional software to see if it would work on them, as stated above.

Thanks.

These things were never designed to work on windows 7. There is a fix but it does not work for all.

The version of Ulead that came with yours will not work on Vista, never mind windows7.

Windows 7 fix:

If it does not work, get an EzCAP116. You will not have any issues with it.

Thanks for the reply, i already have those drivers so it must be the capture device which isn't working.

Ill look into buying the one you stated above.
