Hello.

I have tried to modify the settings and so far I have run into the following problems:

With AVI format:
- 5 minutes of video creates a nearly a video file of nearly gigabytes.
- Using Radius Cinematic Codec compression creates a smaller file (100 Mb per 5 minutes of video) but the audio quality is even worse and fps ratio is ridiculously lower than without compressing.
- Using MJPEG compressing creates slightly smaller but still very huge files (1,5 Gt per five minutes).

With MPEG format:
- Signal isn't always found or the files are corrupted and deleted after a short while.

With DVD format:
- On default setting I get a message "Your frame size is set to 640 x 480. This doesn't blah blah blah. Please adjust your frame size before capturing."
- If I adjust the template into PAL DVD 704 x 576 and use a custom frame size of 704 x 576, I get the message "Unexpected error. Unexpected error. Unexpected error."

I have pretty much no idea what to do next. I could simply continue experementing with settings, but so far it simply seems like a waste of time. Any advice whatsoever?

Don't experiment. Use the standard settings first.
Set it to "dvd". This will set the frame size to standard 704 x 576 and it will capture in MPEG2

I would, but as I said, on the standard dvd format I get the error message "Your frame size is set to 640 x 480. This doesn't blah blah blah. Please adjust your frame size before capturing", and if I try to adjust the frame size, I get another error message.

Open Ulead, click on "Capture" at the top.
Now click on "Capture video"

Click on the little cog that says "options"
click on "video format" ans set the frame size to 720 x 756
click on the cog again and select "input source" Make sure composite video and PAL are selected.
click on the cog again and select "Mpeg Settings" and from the drop down list at the top, select "DVD PAL 720 x 576"

and you should be good to go.

I tried to, but this is what happened:
Click on the little cog that says "options"
click on "video format" ans set the frame size to 720 x 756
click on the cog again and select "input source" Make sure composite video and PAL are selected.
click on the cog again and select "Mpeg Settings" and from the drop down list at the top, select "DVD PAL 720 x 576"

I clicked the cog, and on "Capture" tab I adjusted the video frame size to Custom 720 x 576 (the default is DVD 352 x 288).

Composite video and PAL were okay.

Then, on the "Capture" tab, after clicking Advanced settings and selecting "DVD PAL 720 x 576" and clicking OK, on the Capture tab the settings have returned to default, "DVD 352 x 288". Then, trying to capture video, I get the same error message about frame sizes as previously.

I think we must have different versions as mine does no have an "advanced" tab.

Here is a video with the same as yours. If you double click on it, it will open in youtube and you will be able to watch it in full screen.
