I have the EasyCap 108 DC60 and downloaded the DC60+ driver update, after I installed it I had to reinstall the old STK1160 driver aswell, so this update is realy only for the DC60+, although it does seem to do something to the EasyCap, see fenberry's post here. After updating I have no PAL 60 option in any program menus.

Unfortunately, it would seem that you will only get the PAL 60 option with the EasyCay 108 DC60+ & update.

Absolutely. The DC60+ drivers will (kindof surprisingly) do almost nothing for the Easycap DC60.

On a slightly strange note, I recently tried one final time to do some recording with my Easycap108 DC60 - I felt the need to uninstall everything to do with it from the computer. Then I ensured the DC60 was unplugged from the computer, installed the DC60+ drivers (which also come with AMCap as well, thank you again to EZ-Fan for being so helpful!), rebooted computer, then inserted the Easycap DC60, Windows automatically checked for new drivers - in went the DC60 Driver CD which came with my Easycap, installed this, rebooted again.

I can now see colour on the display when attempting to capture (using either NTSC_M and NTSC_M_J) but now it doesn't record anything at all - Windows Movie Maker cannot index the video file if I attempt to try and record, nor does it even record sound (which it used to do when I only had the original DC60 drivers in).

Very very strange. Especially since the last time I did exactly the same thing, it allowed me (somewhat) to record with pure black and white with good sound quality...until I unplugged the Easycap and plugged it back in again that very same afternoon. Obviously there was some sort of driver conflict, which is now causing my Easycap not to display anything at all. In any event, it was more of a final test than anything else. I wasn't hoping for very much, however the results again gave me a scare. Of course, 50Hz games display and record perfectly as usual. Just 60Hz...

I'm leaving my DC60 very well alone until my DC60+ arrives here (hopefully this week, but since there's on and off postal issues here in Auckland, I'm not sure about when I will actually get my hands on it). I'd imagine that the DC60+ should fix all the current issues I have recording, once I do, I'll post some high quality captures on youtube (and update here as well!) so that I can confirm the that the DC60+ is far superior when it comes to recording PAL60Hz (infact the DC60 can't even handle PAL60Hz...so anything more will be an improvement).

Happy Waitangi Day everyone! 06/02/2009!
