I am in the United States. When I use the EasyCap with my VCR, the video is very good but there is static on the audio. I see some people use the sound card using an adaptor that is mentioned quite often. I want to use Debut or Windows Movie Maker 2.1.

When I use the device and use Debut or WMM how do I program the software to use the sound card?

I'm not familiar with either of them but there should be an "audio" settings section. Set it to "line in"

Changing the audio to line-in and using the audio adaptor works perfectly. I'm using the pink microphone input in the front of the computer. The video is outstanding and the audio is very good. I have made three DVDs from the VCR. Now I can save all of my VHS movies or programs.

Not using the audio part of the EASYCAP simplified the operation. Many Many thanks for the help in converting my tapes to DVDs.
