Have just received my easy cap usb 2.0 video adapter. I have followed instructions and have installed hardware and software fine. Tried connecting my camcorder via av cable and seems to recognise the camcorder but when I try to capture any video the screen on laptop is just lines. Also would like to transfer some vhs videos as well what cables or scart would I require for this? Any help greatly appreciated.

What version of Ulead did it come with?

Do you see the camcorder image when you are in the capture page but when you actually press the "capture" button this is when you get lines?

Have you tried playing back the capture? You may find it is ok.

Sorry, Ulead V8.0 is not compatible with vista.

Try different software: (free and good)

Debut

When you go to the site, don't click on the links on the right hand side.
There is a download link for non commercial customers in the first paragraph
on the page.

Download and open.
Clcik on "device" at the top.
