something is wrong with my easycap

ok i have my easycap plugged in properely as far as i know but when i go into the ulead program i try go to options and to the tv thingy and the tv options are faded out. COULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHATS WRONG!?!?!?ive tried reinstalling everything and looking up on youtube and i just dont know what im doing wrong. please reply quickly.

I haven't got Ulead installed right now, but to my knowledge you need to first click on the "Capture" to the left of the "Edit" tab the thing defaults to.
Edit:
Oh yeah. This is if you use the top option in the menu you get when starting it up.
Once you've done that, if the EzCAP is plugged in to both the computer and the video source, Ulead should spend a short time detecting the video input as shown in a little temporary window with a progress bar. Once that's done you should get a preview of what EzCAP is picking up. If not, try the drop-down menu and select to change video capture plugin (or something along those lines) and muck around changing through the various NTSC, PAL and SECAM modes to see if any of them work.

Please answer these questions and I will try and assist you in the trouble shooting process.
1) What model of EasyCap do you have?
2) What Operating System and what version do you have?
3) What TV region are you from, PAL, NTSC or Secam?
