If you find, like me, that Ulead Video Studio is not working well on your system, don't despair, there is a lot of other software/freeware out there that you could try that may work better. Click on the link below for an extensive list of tools covering many categories, click on "Capture" for instance then scroll down to see a list of many capture programs.

There is a very good free software for recording and it's not mentioned in the list.
It's Debut Video Capture.
